"Opus Sanctorum Angelorum, the Work of the Holy Angels, is an international movement within the Catholic Church faithful to the Magisterium. It is ordered to promoting devotion to the holy angels and a covenant bond with them through a consecration approved by the Church, so that the holy angels may lead us more effectively to God. The Work is under the overall direction of the Order of Canons Regular of the Holy Cross, under which has also been erected the Confraternity of the Holy Guardian Angels. The Sisters of the Holy Cross is aggregated to the Order and, though autonomous, forms with it one spiritual family.

The holy angels are powerful spirits present among us, "sent to serve those who are to inherit salvation" (Heb 1:14). The answer? Our story rests on the grace of the duty of state and listening to good advice. We made sure to teach the First Communion and Confirmation basic Catholic beliefs to our own children, and wanted to teach them well.
Our story began thirteen years ago when our first child was to receive her First Communion. We were told that the date would be in August. Then our pastor was relocated. The next pastor said that First Holy Communion would take place in September or October. So we continued to review the Baltimore Catechism questions and answers.
Then November, December.... Yes, you might have guessed it, the date was finally Mother's Day! We didn't guess it, yet at about November we told our daughter that once she could pronounce and remember her catechism answers well enough, we would put the questions and answers on a cassette that she could keep and review at will even while she played with her sister and brother, colored or worked on crafts. "In September 1984, six St. Louis women gathered around a dining room table to discuss their concern that the US bishops, who had announced their intention to write a pastoral letter on the subject of "women's concerns", might not receive an accurate picture of Catholic women. The women were concerned about the impression given in the media that most Catholic women feel "alienated" from the Church, and dissent from Church teachings on issues ranging from abortion to ordination. They were aware that feminist theology had influenced many women and Catholic leaders. They wanted to do something positive to overcome this distorted image of Catholic women.

The result of the women's discussions was an eight-point statement of fidelity to Church teachings on a wide range of issues. They began to circulate the statement, called the Affirmation for Catholic Women, among their friends and colleagues, inviting them to reproduce the Affirmation and to help collect signatures

Women for Faith & Family was formed to assist in distribution of the Affirmation, to foster greater communication among faithful Catholic women, and to be helpful in communicating their concerns to the bishops and other Church leaders.

The response to the Affirmation was overwhelming. Within a few months, 4,000 signatures had been received, and a copy of the Affirmation with a list of the signers was sent to the Bishops' Committee on Women." ... more

"Catholic-Pages.com started as a personal home page using the free space my ISP gave me with my dial-up account. I wanted to put some information up on the web that I had at home from lots of different sources. The site kept growing, changing, growing...

I used to use the portals just as they were going popular: sites like My Yahoo!, My Excite and MSN.com. But, while they were useful for giving up to date news headlines, I really wasn't interested in stock reports or my horoscope and (being Australian) wasn't that interested in movie times or TV listings or weather for US cities!

So I decided to try and make a portal for Catholics to use. Something that would give Catholics daily information of use to them that they could use instead of the secular portals - something that would give some spiritual nourishment. So I created My Catholic Start Page. In the beginning, I used JavaScript to create the site with about a fortnight's worth of daily information pre-loaded in the page. I physically had to update the page every few weeks. At one time, I lost internet access for over a month and had to do the updating from an Internet Café!

When I kept getting email from people saying how much they appreciated what I was doing, I decided to take the site to the next level and register a domain name. That was when the site became Catholic-Pages.com!" ... more

L'École Notre Dame du Nord/Our Lady of the North School (LNDN) is a registered non-profit organization, faithful to the Magisterium (Rome). His Holiness John Paul II talked of the need to re-evangelize North America. LNDN works to be part of that in a small way in Northern Saskatchewan. It provides catechism classes and resources for children and adults, makes available an academic education up to grade 12 for children and adults and does charitable work. Although we can not take the place of the declining number of priests, as Christians we need to do more.

"Pope Benedict XVI, while Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, consistently showed his support for those Catholics who wish to worship in the old form of the Mass of the Roman Rite.
In his 1997 book Salt of the Earth, then-Cardinal Ratzinger wrote: "I am of the opinion that the old rite should be granted much more generously to all those who desire it. It's impossible to grasp what could be dangerous or unacceptable about that. A community that suddenly declares that what, until now, was its holiest and highest possession is strictly forbidden makes the longing for it seem downright indecent, calls its very self into question."

"On July 7, 2007, His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI issued his motu proprio Summorum Pontificum, which allows every priest in the Latin Rite to offer the Traditional Latin Mass without permission from his bishop, effective September 14, 2007.

This expands upon the pastoral concern expressed by his predecessor, Pope John Paul II, who in 1984 authorized the Traditional Latin Mass of the Roman Rite to be offered with approval of the local bishop. This was the Mass as was said in every Catholic Church around the world until after Vatican II.

In his Apostolic Letter Ecclesia Dei, (July 2, 1988), His Holiness expanded this earlier permission: "By virtue of my Apostolic Authority I decree ... (that) a wide and generous application" be given the previous directives.
