Aster Hobby USA LLC was established in January, 2002 as exclusive US Importer & Distributor for live steam locomotive models and accessories manufactured by Aster Hobby Co. Inc. of Yokohama, Japan. It is our goal to continue the promotion of Aster live steam locomotives as well as provide the service needs for these mechanical marvels. Since 1975, the name Aster has been known by Gauge One live steam locomotive enthusiasts and collectors alike. From the introduction of Great Britain's " Schools Class" to today's Chesapeake & Ohio "H8 Allegheny", the improvement in quality and complexity of Aster locomotives has never stopped, and new challenging designs are continuing to inspire our imagination of the great steam locomotive era.

The Boothbay Railway Village is an educational, historical and cultural museum whose mission is to collect, preserve and demonstrate railroading, antique automobiles, small town rural life with an emphasis on Maine between 1850 and 1950. Its continuing mission will be to develop and promote educational programs and services.

The Boothbay Railway Village, a 501(c)3 non-profit educational organization, engages the public in meaningful interaction with Maine history. Through collection, preservation, demonstration and education, the museum stimulates the mind from school children to retirees. By focusing on three major historical segments; the narrow gauge steam railroad, the vintage automobile and the rural village, the museum provides a link to Maine’s history from the late 19th century to the mid 20th, offering rich learning experiences for the benefit of a diverse public.

The 7¼ Gauge Society is the international organisation for people interested in 7¼ and 7½ gauge miniature railways

The Society is a group of friends from all over the world. We send a magazine to our members four times a year which is full of excellent items about 7¼ Gauge railways. Amongst other things it contains a wealth of news, items for sale and wanted, exhibition dates and private railway open days. As well as our magazine, members get access to a private area of this website where they can find even more information and share their views, events, photos and videos with other members.

We can offer two standard designs of new steam locomotive with 6" or 7" cylinders, both based on traditional narrow gauge practice. New designs are quite feasible and all are traditionally and substantially built in keeping with the steam locomotive's traditional longevity.

Over recent years we have overhauled a number of steam locomotives of all sizes ranging from a small 15" gauge 0-4-0 to a 3ft gauge 0-6-2 of no less than 31 tons weight...
