" On July 1, 1976, two friends, John and William decided to turn their hobby into a business. Initially, "J&W" did model train repairs in John's garage. Since their were only general hobby shops in the area, their customers started asking them to special order trains and supplies. With this their repair business blossomed into a model train store, open evenings and weekends to accommodate 'the day job'. William's career took him west, leaving only John.
